According to the official statistics from the Macau Government Tourist Office, as many as 17 million visitors were recorded in the first 3 quarter of 2009. Amongst which more than 50% were from mainland China with as much as US$450 average spending per capita. More exciting is that over 50% of the spending goes to hotel accommodation and food & beverage. Obviously, there generates an enormous market of the hotel, hospitality and catering sectors.
